Male : 180-250 cm. Male : green plumage, scale blackish, long neck and
tall crest, extreamely long train with colourful ocelli, spread in and
enormous fan during display. Female : Smaller, duller, lack train.

Formerly throughout, now disappeared in many areas, recent records are
from Chiang Mai (Huai Hong Khri); Phayao (Doi Phu Nang NP); Phrae
(Mae Yom NP); Kanchanaburi (Earawan NP, Khao Salak Phra WS, Thung
Yai Narasuan WS); Tak (Thung Yai Narasuan WS) and Uthai Thani (Huai
Kha Khaeng WS).
