- 127 cm. Male : elongated central tail feathers (up to a further 50 cm.),
bare dark red skin on head-side, throat and neck. Short,yellowish bill and
rounded casque are reddish with yellow tip. Mostly blackish plumage with
white rump, belly and vent, white-tipped secoundaries and primaries, tail
whitish with black central and suterminal bands. Female : smaller, bill
speckled black at tip, pale lilac face and neck tinged.
