- Moderate size loaches with broad black midlateral stripe and another
stripe along the back in specimens smaller than about 4 cm SL; larger
specimens with vertical bars connecting the two stripes and extending to
the lower half of yellow body; fins hyaline in juveniles and marked in
adults. Attains 8 cm.

- Carnivorous, insect larvae and benthos. Hillstreams. Overfishing.

- Mekong and upper Nan River, Chao Phraya basin.
