- 122.5-129 cm. Huge size, very large bill, yellowish head and neck are
unfeathered, black above and white below. In flight, all blackish wings
with white triangle patch at base of wings.

- Freshwater marshes, pool in or near open forest, swamp forest, mangroves
mud flats, sometimes rice paddies, lowland.

- The species formerly occurred throughout central plain and penninsular,
